hunting-sceneAn activity most people engage in is hunting. It is a way of living for people in very remote places like the forests and the mountains for them to have food. Others do hunting for the sake of recreation and sports because of the pleasure and thrill of the activity. Most people engage in hunting because they are highly paid by companies that use animal fur in manufacturing items such as clothing. Hunting may be less popular nowadays because of some environmental issues but there are still individuals that enjoy the activity and continue the practice.

During the ancient times, the way people live is very different to our ways. They had the simplest tools made from rocks, bones and trees. They are perfectly dependent to what their environment can provide them. Money wasn’t available yet and people utilize raw materials that have not been processed yet, and they still manage to live life their way. It was believed that our ancestors were great hunters. Hunting was very vital for their survival because they utilize animals for food, clothing and other materials that can be useful in their activities of daily living. Ancient people are also known to perform rituals that involve animals as their sacrifice to their gods and for them to be able to have such, they engage in hunting. As humans started to become more educated and had started to establish a system of communication and beliefs, they have discovered another means of living and invented tools that are able to kill animals from further distances that made hunting an easier task for them. Hunting was done by most ancient people during the ancient times because it is the easiest way for them to have something to eat in a short span of time.

Hunting today is different from the ancient times. Since people stared to be in an organization that has a system of governance, hunting has been regulated in most areas of the world. People can no longer engage in such activity without permission and consent from authorities and a license is required for a person to be considered a hunter. There are already lists of animals that can be the target of the hunt because there are species that have become endangered because of environmental changes and illegal killings. There is also a specified season wherein one is allowed to go out hunting and a season when one cannot allow the animals to reproduce thus preventing their extinction. Animals that are the usual targets in hunting have significantly declined in numbers and concerned individuals have been very active in voicing out the protection of such animals. As a response there are now laws that prohibit hunters from hunting the said animals. The homeostasis of our planet is one of the major concerns of our time because it was emphasized that every single animal and creature played a role in maintaining the balance of our world. Unlike in the ancient times, there are many individuals that are considered vegetarians and are completely feeding on plants and vegetables today. People are also more resourceful nowadays and have invented many machines and equipments that can process food differently without the use of those animals hunted in the past. People are also raising chickens and pigs that are regularly circulated in the market for the consumption of the public. In this way, there will be no disruptions in the equilibrium of our ecosystem and animals in the wild, live and survive the natural way.

There are many known ways of hunting animals and the most common way is baiting and trapping. Usually an animal is being attracted by food and decoys that will eventually grab their interest. These baits are placed in a position wherein there is a secret trap that is not visible to the animal. Once an animal falls for the trap and then the device does its way of disabling the animal to get away. Most hunters also bring along dogs with them that help them in tracking targets. A shot gun is a common weapon used in hunting. There are really individuals that can’t help but loves hunting so, developers of computer games have included such games in their agenda. There are also hunting activities wherein the targets are just pictures or decoys of animals, which somehow served as a substitute rather than killing real animals.
